My whole video project got corrupted right before the upload deadline

I was editing a 15 minute vlog in DaVinci Resolve last Thursday, about 2 hours before I had to post it. The project file just stopped opening and showed a 'media offline' error on every clip. I tried the backup files but they were from 3 days earlier, so I lost all my recent cuts. Ended up having to tell my followers the video was delayed and spent the whole weekend re-editing from scratch. Has anyone found a good way to set up auto backups that actually save more often?

Did you check the auto-save folder in Resolve's project manager?

Yeah @black.pat is right about the panic, but Margaret's suggestion actually saved my project file last week.

Classic. Computers wait until you're sweating bullets to completely give up. Should have just filmed yourself crying over the corrupted file, instant content.
