Called it BS when a creator swore by posting at 6am, now I'm eating my words
I manage three channels and always posted between 8pm and midnight because that felt right. My views jumped 40% in two weeks after I forced myself to try the early morning schedule. Anyone else have a content strategy they fought against that totally worked out?

The 40% jump is wild to see in just two weeks! I fought the same battle with my own channel about posting at 5am. I used to think my audience was mostly night owls, so I'd drop videos around midnight. After three months of flat numbers, I caved and tried 6am for a week. My early morning views actually doubled compared to my usual late night slots. It's funny how our own assumptions about when people watch can be totally wrong. Glad it worked out for you too because that first week of early alarms was brutal.

Yeah I fought thumbnail changes for months then views doubled overnight.

Views doubled overnight" is bold but I'm calling it a fluke. I actually tried the opposite with @ruby450's approach - switched to midnight uploads for a gaming niche and saw a 25% bump.
Fighting thumbnails was a waste of my time. Spent 6 months tweaking them, got maybe 3% more clicks. Meanwhile changing my upload window to 3am somehow tripled my watch time.
People are just as likely to watch at 2pm as 2am if the content works. That thumbnail fix probably hit right when the algorithm decided to finally play nice.
