A commenter said my thumbnails looked like a yard sale and honestly he was right
Back in 2019 I was slapping together thumbnails in about 10 minutes each, just slapping text on a random frame and calling it done. One guy wrote 'these look like a yard sale, too much going on, I can't tell what your video is about.' That stuck with me because I knew he wasn't wrong. I cut my text down to 3 words max and started shooting a clean photo for each one instead of grabbing a screenshot. Took my click rate from around 3 percent to almost 8 in two weeks. Anyone else get a piece of feedback that was kind of rude but also exactly what you needed to hear?
