My laser level died mid ceiling grid on a 3,200 sq ft job in Boise
Halfway through shooting a ceiling grid last Tuesday my laser level just quit. No warning, no blinking light, nothing. I had 14 more rows to mark and the crew was standing around waiting on me. I tried fresh batteries and even did the old shake test, still dead. Ended up running to the supply house for a loaner, which cost me $75 and two hours of daylight. Turns out the self leveling pendulum inside had seized up from all the dust on that site. Anyone else had one give out like that, and is there a way to keep the dust out or do I just need to baby the thing?
