Went to a local debate night in Boise last month and it flipped how I argue online
Sat in the back of a packed library room while two guys went at it over the moon landing for 90 minutes, and the whole thing stayed calm because everyone had to write their claim on a card first. I've been doing that same trick in comment threads since, and the name calling drops off hard. Has anyone else tried forcing a written claim before a debate actually starts?
