The $300 survival kit that sat in my trunk for 5 years
Bought one of those prepper bundles back in 2019 thinking it would save me in a grid-down situation. Opened it last week, the water pouches expired in 2021 and the flashlight batteries had leaked everywhere. Anyone else ever drop cash on emergency gear you never actually checked?

Honestly that's the real problem with most prepper gear, nobody ever does a full inventory check until it's too late. The actual survival skill is remembering to rotate stuff out every year, not just buying it.
