The 14-day return window on a 30-day money back offer caught me
Ordered a dehumidifier from a big box chain in Raleigh because their website said 30 day returns. The fine print in my email receipt said the offer only applied if I bought their extended warranty, which I didn't. Went to the service desk on day 22 and got hit with a 15% restocking fee instead. Has anyone else tripped over that fine print trap where the store's return policy and the manufacturer's promotion don't match up?

Oh man, that stinks. My buddy in Charlotte had almost the same thing happen with a fancy air purifier. He bought it during a "30 day trial" promo, but the store's own policy was 15 days unless you paid for their membership plan. He got dinged on day 19 and was so mad he just kept the thing out of spite. I told him to check his credit card benefits later, but he never did. Anyway, your mileage may vary but some cards offer extra return protection, might be worth a look.
