Stopped by a roadside diner outside Flagstaff and the clock was set 3 hours ahead

I was driving through Arizona last week and pulled into this little diner near Flagstaff for coffee. The clock on the wall was set to 3 PM but it was only noon. The guy at the counter said it was always that way because "the owner thinks time moves faster here." Is this some kind of weird local code or just a quirk. Has anyone else seen something like that in a small town.

lmao that's definitely one way to gaslight the customers. guess they're really committed to the whole "time is an illusion" vibe.

Oh totally, they once told me my order was "on its way" for three weeks straight.
