Old forum threads had better evidence, not just vibes

I was digging through a 2008 thread about 9/11 conspiracy theories and people were posting source links, building timelines, actually debating. Now it's just screenshots of random tweets and people calling each other sheep. That older format made you think, even if you disagreed. Has anyone else noticed the quality drop in these debates over the years?

Went searching for a 2012 thread on chemtrails last week and found people linking to FAA documents and weather studies. Now the same topic is just a wall of memes and one-line insults. That old back-and-forth forced you to actually read the sources and weigh the arguments, even when you thought the other side was nuts.
