My friend swears the moon landing was faked, but the math checks out
We got into it at his place last night. He kept pointing at shadows in the photos, saying they prove it was a studio. I pulled up the NASA site and showed him the angle of the sun and the lunar surface. It took me about an hour to find the right reports and explain it. Does anyone have a simpler way to shut down the studio light argument?

Honestly, the Kubrick point is perfect because it makes your friend's own logic fall apart. If the greatest director of his time was hired to fake it, why would he use weird shadows that any film student could spot? That means either Kubrick was suddenly terrible at his job, or the simpler answer is that the weird shadows are just how light works on a rock with no atmosphere. It's not a Hollywood set, it's a whole other world.
