My cousin's wedding turned into a full blown argument about the moon landing

Last Saturday at the reception in Boise, my uncle started going on about how the Apollo footage looks fake. My brother, who's an engineer, tried to explain the camera tech from the 60s. It got so heated that the bride's dad jumped in with a binder full of printed articles about 'anomalies'. For three hours, instead of dancing, a group of us were just standing by the dessert table going back and forth about flag movement and shadow angles. I felt bad for my cousin, but also... it was kind of fascinating to see how deep people go on this stuff. They weren't just joking, they had whole files saved on their phones. Has anyone else had a normal family event get hijacked by a conspiracy debate?

A BINDER at a WEDDING?

Look, if the binder has the schedule, the seating chart, and the vendor contacts, it's the most useful thing there. Seen too many weddings fall apart because the planner didn't have the info on hand. Smart move, honestly.

@the_anthony hasn't been to many weddings I'm guessing. A binder with all that info is basically the emergency kit for the whole day.
