My $340 dash cam caught a truck with no plates, and now I'm torn on whether I did the right thing
I sent the clip to the cops in Mesa last Tuesday and now my neighbor says I wasted their time while my brother says I probably helped catch a stolen vehicle, so where do you all land on reporting stuff you catch on camera?

Your neighbor is wrong here. Sending in a clip of a truck with no plates is not wasting anyone's time. No plates is like the number one sign of a stolen car or someone up to no good. The cops can run the clip through their system and figure it out way faster than some random person driving by could. Sitting on footage like that just because you worry about bugging people is how bad stuff slips through. You did the right thing, and your brother is way closer to the truth than your neighbor is.
