Looking back at how I used to argue about moon landing stuff
About two years ago, I was deep in a forum thread about the moon landings, throwing links and dates around like I knew everything. This one guy, Mike from Florida, called me out. He said, 'You keep using the same three debunked points from a 2008 YouTube video, you're not even checking the new scans NASA released in 2020.' That hit me. I realized I was just repeating old talking points without looking at newer evidence. I stopped posting for a month and actually read the newer material from official sources. Now I always try to find the most current data before jumping into a debate, even if it proves my own side wrong. Anyone else have a moment like that where someone's criticism actually made you better at discussing this stuff?

Mike's point about the 2020 scans is so true. I started checking the upload dates on my own sources and half of them were older than my phone. Now I sort any research by date first, even if it's a pain.

Honestly, I never used to care about dates. This post just changed my whole process.

Totally feel that. Found a guide last week that looked perfect, then saw it was from 2012. Everything was so out of date. How do you even find good current stuff without wasting hours?
