Figured out my pyramid scheme thinking in the parking lot of a Wendy's in Tulsa
I was deep into the chemtrail stuff for like 2 years. Watched every grainy YouTube doc, argued with friends at parties. Then last month I saw a crop duster spraying a field near Route 66 and realized it was just fertilizer. Same plane. Same white trail. Felt like an idiot. Has anyone else had that one random sighting that just broke the whole thing for you?

That whole experience kind of mirrors how our brains latch onto patterns that aren't really there. Once you're looking for something suspicious, every little thing becomes evidence for it. It's like seeing faces in clouds - sometimes the simplest answer is just a plane doing its job.

Wait, is Ruby saying seeing faces in clouds is the same as thinking planes are spraying poison? Because those are pretty different things. One is a normal brain trick, the other is believing a specific lie you heard from strangers online. I get the pattern thing, but comparing it to faces in clouds kinda downplays how much work it takes to stay deep in that stuff for two years. You had to ignore a lot of basic facts to stay in it, not just see a shape in the sky.

Keep going with that thought. Once you're in that mindset, your brain starts connecting random stuff that has nothing to do with each other. It takes a real life boring detail like a crop duster to snap you out of it.
