Rant: My cousin in Milwaukee said the Genesis had no good RPGs, so I made a list over 3 weekends
My cousin swore up and down at Thanksgiving that the SNES was the only console worth owning for RPGs, and I admit I nodded along because I grew up on Final Fantasy. So I dug out my Genesis and spent 3 weekends compiling every RPG I could find, expecting to prove him right. Now I am sitting here with Phantasy Star IV and Shining Force II and wondering why I ever let a Nintendo kid tell me what to play.

Sounds like your cousin owes you an apology and maybe a copy of Phantasy Star IV so he can see what he's been missing. Three weekends of research just to get dunked on by your own console, that's rough buddy. SNES kids really thought they had the market cornered on RPGs huh.
