That pour last Tuesday turned into a total disaster
We had a 40 yard driveway pour scheduled and the concrete truck showed up 45 minutes late with the mix already starting to set. By the time we got it screeded and floated, we had to rush the broom finish so bad it looked like hell.

That's on you guys for not managing the schedule better though... concrete companies have dispatch windows for a reason, you know they're juggling multiple jobs. 45 minutes late with a hot load in July is totally predictable if you didn't call ahead to confirm. Next time have a backup plan like cooler water on standby or a retarder mix ordered from the start. Honestly rushing the broom finish just makes it look amateurish but it still functions fine as a driveway. People get way too hung up on how it looks versus whether it holds up.

that rush on the broom finish is brutal, i feel you on that lol." Man, @paigep20 is kinda right but still, a 45 minute late hot load in July is a nightmare no matter how you prep, it puts you in a corner. Sorry you had to deal with that mess, hope the homeowner understood it was out of your hands.
