Power trowel vs hand float on a big slab in Phoenix, no contest

After 4,000 square feet of warehouse floor last Tuesday, I ran a power trowel over half and hand floated the other half for comparison, and the hand float side already shows two hairline cracks while the trowel side is smooth as glass, has anyone else ditched hand floating on jobs over 1,000 feet or am I just being lazy?
