Paid $650 for a laser level and it paid for itself in one driveway pour

I mean, I was skeptical about dropping that much on the rotary laser, but we did a 40 yard pour off Oak Street last week and the grade came out dead perfect on the first check, has anyone else had one of those cheaper self-leveling units crap out on them after a few months?
