Customer asked me to put a handprint in the walkway near the garage

Last spring I was finishing a small concrete pad for a guy in Tulsa. He asked me to press his son's handprint into the wet concrete near the edge of the slab. I told him concrete can crack around those deep impressions if you're not careful, but he insisted. So I did it real shallow with a gloved hand and pressed it in slow. Has anyone else had homeowners ask for something like that after you already had the pour scheduled?

You ever have a buddy whose kid wants to put their handprint in wet concrete? My friend Dave had a guy ask for his dog's paw print once... ended up looking like a raccoon got stuck in there.

Wait, a raccoon got stuck in wet concrete? Like, an actual raccoon? No way. Was the dog okay? Because that sounds like a whole mess. I can't believe someone would let their dog near wet concrete like that, let alone a raccoon just waltzing into it. That story has to end with someone hosing off a very confused animal.
