Chose a wet saw over a grinder for a driveway job last month
I went with a rented wet saw for a 40 foot driveway instead of my usual angle grinder and it took twice as long but the edges were so clean I didn't have to patch a single chipped spot, anyone else switch tools on a big slab and regret or love it?

Clean cuts are overrated. Just sayin'.

Is this like when @grantschmidt says sharp knives are overrated too?

...you're acting like this is life or death. It's a slab. Some chipped edges aren't going to make the house fall down. I've used both and honestly, a few chips with the grinder just get covered by the soil or whatever you're putting next to it. Nobody's inspecting the edge of a driveway with a magnifying glass. The wet saw is nice for tight corners inside, but for a straight 40 foot run? That's overkill. You probably spent more time setting up water and cleaning mud than you saved on patches. A tube of concrete patch costs like eight bucks and takes five minutes.
