Blew a 40 yard driveway pour in Nashville last spring because I skimped on rebar placement
Was working a big residential job out near Bellevue. Got in a hurry, spaced the rebar chairs too wide. Concrete set, half the slab cracked along a seam six weeks later. Owner wanted a tear out. Cost me $2,800 out of pocket. Now I triple check my wire mesh ties and bar spacing every time. Anyone else learn this lesson the hard way?

Yeah man that hurts, I feel for you on that "$2,800 out of pocket" line. Nothing like a bad pour to teach you a lesson you won't forget.

And hey, $2,800 is just the stupid tax for forgetting that concrete doesn't care about your schedule (believe me, I've paid it a few times myself).
