Vent: A client's PC was so dusty the fan sounded like a jet engine...

I tried compressed air but the dust was caked on. Out of desperation, I used a clean paintbrush from my bag to gently loosen it first... and it actually worked way better. Anyone else have a weird tool that saved the day?

Honestly I've seen way worse. Like actual dust bunnies the size of a fist blocking every vent. A little caked on dust making some noise? That's just Tuesday. I mean, if it was really that bad the thing would have overheated and shut down long before you got to it. Maybe it's just me but a paintbrush seems like overkill for a basic clean.

My old PC had dust so thick the fan blades looked like fuzzy caterpillars.

My last cleanout was a full archeological dig. Found a french fry from 2019 behind the power supply. The dust bunnies had formed their own little government in there.
