Reflowing with a hair dryer is a classic move. I once brought an old Xbox 360 back from the red ring of death by wrapping it in towels and letting it bake itself. The thing ran for another two years before it finally gave up. Desperate times call for desperate heat guns.

See that all the time with people and their old tech... they treat it like a abused truck that just keeps going. My neighbor still uses a 2012 laptop with a cracked screen and a battery that only works plugged in. He's had it so long he forgot what a new computer even feels like. But then you see someone else with a six month old phone that dies from one drop of water. It's weird how some stuff is built like a tank and other stuff falls apart if you look at it wrong.
