That one feedback about my patch panel labeling saved me a 3 hour headache yesterday
Got a call from a senior tech like 6 months ago after he had to trace a cable run at a dental office in downtown Austin. He said my labels were too vague, just room numbers and no wall location or port count. I started adding things like 'Rm 104-NW-2' for the second port on the north west wall. Yesterday a panel went down and I found the exact cable in under 10 minutes because of those detailed labels. Has anyone else had a client complain about their labeling system or am I the only one?

Wait, isn't that just basic common sense for labeling? I did the same thing after getting chewed out once and it's saved my butt like five times since. Details are everything when you're crawling through a ceiling later.
