Spent 5 hours chasing a phantom boot loop on a Dell Optiplex - turned out to be a bad USB hub
Had a client's Dell Optiplex stuck in a boot loop last Wednesday. Tried swapping RAM, running diagnostics, reseating everything - the usual stuff. After 5 hours I finally unplugged the USB hub they had connected and boom, it booted right up. The hub was drawing just enough power to mess with the motherboard. Has anyone else run into weird USB issues like that? I almost sent the whole PC to the recycler for no reason.

Haha yeah mine was like a 15 dollar off-brand I found on clearance.
