Liquid cooling kits are way more hassle than I thought
I spent like 8 hours installing an AIO liquid cooler last weekend on my gaming rig and the pump started making grinding noises after 2 days. A buddy swore by air coolers for reliability and it looks like he was right all along. Anyone else ditch liquid for air and notice a difference in noise or temps?

My Corsair H150i has been running strong for 3 years now with zero issues, so I gotta disagree a bit. Maybe you just got a bad unit because that grinding noise sounds like a defective pump. My temps on a 5900X sit around 65C under load which is way better than the 80C I was getting with my old Noctua air cooler. The installation was a pain for sure, first time I did it too took me like 5 hours. But once it was in, it has been totally silent and reliable since day one. Air coolers are great and simple, but I think liquid has its place if you wanna push things harder without the noise.

5 hours for an install though? Were you building the thing from scratch or something?
