I've been using the wrong thermal paste method for years and a gaming PC in Phoenix showed me

The CPU temps kept spiking after my usual pea-sized dot, but a thin spread with a card fixed it. Anyone else switch from the dot to spreading it out?

Thin spread" is the old school method, actually.

Remember when everyone used to argue about thin vs thick crust pizza? Same energy.
