Hit the jackpot last Tuesday with a simple CMOS battery swap that fixed three different machines

Three computers came in with weird boot errors, thrown a spare CR2032 in each one, and they all fired up perfectly, has anyone else had a day where one cheap part saved your butt like that?

Had a bad batch of RAM a few years back that was killing every machine I tried it in. Swapped in some old sticks I had laying around and all three came back to life. Sometimes the fix is just that dumb simple.

Got a buddy who builds his own PCs. Had three boards in a row just dead on arrival. No POST, no beeps, nothing. He was ready to tear his hair out. Turned out the power supply was fine, but one of the SATA power cables was shorting against the case. Took him two days to find it. Dumb simple fix.

Yeah but @haydenbutler, sometimes the cheap fix is just luck not skill.
