Driver update that took 6 hours - when do you call it quits?
So I was working on a Dell OptiPlex last week that kept BSOD'ing with a video scheduler error. Spent 6 hours trying different driver rollbacks, clean installs, and even swapped the GPU with a known good one. Finally found out it was a corrupted BIOS setting hiding in the power management tab (ugh). The debate is: do you keep banging your head against a weird issue for hours or just nuke it with a clean Windows install right away? I lean toward the clean install after 3 hours these days, but some guys think that's lazy. What's your cutoff time before you give up on a specific fix and just reload?

Three hours is my hard limit before I nuke it from orbit.

I read a study that claimed most people tap out after just two hours of trying to fix something.
