the vis in the quarry pond near Richmond was so bad last week I couldn't see my own gauges

spent 45 minutes feeling around in total darkness for a pump intake valve, has anyone else dealt with silt that turns the water into chocolate milk?

Did you try feeling for a temperature change on the intake or did you just have to go purely by touch the whole time?

Last July at Lake Travis I couldn't see my own hand in front of my mask.
