Switched from Kirby Morgan to Ocean Reef after 10 years and now I'm kicking myself
I always thought the Kirby Morgan 37 was the only mask worth using for deep work, but a buddy let me borrow his Ocean Reef for a 90-foot hull job last week and the visor clarity was way better. Has anyone else made the swap and noticed a difference in comms clarity on the surface?

Read a report from a commercial dive school that tested both masks side by side at 120 feet. Ocean Reef came out ahead on visor clarity and comms clarity every time. One guy in the comments said his KM 37 started fogging up bad on a deep night job and he had to abort the dive. That stuck with me. Switched to Ocean Reef a few months ago and the difference is real. Not going back either.

Man that story about the KM 37 guy aborting a night job because of fog makes me wince just thinking about it. That's the kind of thing that sticks with you for sure. Glad you found something that works better and actually holds up under pressure like that. Nothing worse than gear failing you when you're already dealing with a stressful situation.

My Ocean Reef visor cracked on a shallow wreck at like 50 feet a few years back.
