Shoutout to the old timer who showed me the difference a good visor seal makes

Been doing salvage dives in Baltimore harbor for about 4 years now. Last month I was fighting with fogged up glass every 15 minutes, barely getting through a 30 minute bottom time. This 60 year old diver from the oil rig days just watched me struggle for a minute, then handed me a tub of anti-fog paste and showed me how to really work it in. Now I can do a full 90 minute rotation without wiping my visor once. Has anyone else had a small gear tip totally change their dive day?

Gotta disagree on the seal being the real game changer. A good seal matters but a clean dry lens with properly applied paste makes way more difference than you'd think.

That anti-fog paste trick is solid, but you gotta make sure you're using it on a clean lens first or it'll smear worse than before. I had a buddy who globbed it on over old salt residue and ended up with a foggy mess that took three soaks to fix. A good visor seal beats any paste though, that's the real game changer if your mask fits right.
