Dive shop in Galveston gave me a drysuit or wetsuit ultimatum and I picked wrong
Picked up a 3 day job on a pipeline inspection off Galveston and the shop told me water temp was 68, so they offered a 7mm wetsuit or a beat up drysuit with a leaky neck seal. I grabbed the wetsuit thinking 68 is pool water, rookie move. By hour two of the second dive I was shivering so bad my buddy thought I was signaling him. Ended up doing the third day in the drysuit with water sloshing around my ankles, but at least I could feel my hands. Any of you got a rule of thumb for when to just suck it up and wear the drysuit even if it leaks?
