A tender on my Gulf job kept calling the decompression stop 'the quiet room' and now my whole crew uses it
We were working a pipeline job out of Venice, Louisiana last month and this tender, Marcus, kept saying 'alright y'all, time for the quiet room' when we'd hit our 20 foot stop. First time he did it I thought he was messing with us, but he explained it's what his old supervisor used to call it because nobody talks during deco. Now our whole crew says it, even the supervisor. Anyone else pick up weird names for stuff from a green tender?
