Vent: Green spec on paper still got shut down by the local inspector

Spent 3 months and $12k on a spec-compliant system for that warehouse off I-85, everything stamped and sealed, and the inspector still flagged the fire riser because he 'didn't like the clearance'. Anyone else dealing with inspectors who just make up rules on the fly?
