Unpopular opinion: The new city inspector for the downtown zone is making things impossible.

He flagged a perfectly good concrete pour on 5th Street because the slump test was 1 inch off spec, which cost us a full day and $800 in overtime. Has anyone else had to deal with him, or is it just our crew?

Honestly, one inch on a slump test? That seems like a crazy small thing to shut down a whole pour. Were there any other issues with the mix or the site prep that day? Sometimes they get strict if they've seen other problems in the area.
