That week in May where every job site hit a wall at the same time

Last month I had 5 days where nothing went right. Monday the crane got delayed 4 hours at a site in Austin because the road permit was wrong. Tuesday the inspector flagged our fire caulking on the 3rd floor and made us redo 40 linear feet. Wednesday my lead guy called in sick and I had to run a crew of 2 greenhorns on a drywall patch job. Thursday the material supplier sent the wrong gauge steel studs and we had to unload and reorder. By Friday I was ready to quit, but somehow we finished the punch list and got the final sign off. Has anyone else had a full week like that where it just compounds on you?

How do these things always pile up in one cursed stretch instead of spreading out?? I swear that week is like the universe testing your whole career. I had a Tuesday once where the truck broke down, my best guy quit, and the customer changed the plans all before lunch. It's brutal because you can't even fix one thing without two more breaking behind it. But honestly, surviving that week makes you feel like you can handle anything after.
