That drainage pipe issue took 11 days to crack in Phoenix

We had a slab pour scheduled for a warehouse in Phoenix and the storm drain pipe kept backing up. My crew thought it was a clog, but after 3 days of snaking we found a collapsed bell joint 40 feet in. Had to bring in a mini excavator, cut the slab, and replace the section. Whole thing set us back 11 days and about $4,800 over the bid. Any of you run into hidden pipe failures that weren't visible on the pre-pour camera inspection?
