That $2,800 epoxy floor in Tulsa peeled in 4 months
I paid a crew from a big regional company to do a warehouse floor in Tulsa and they promised it would outlast the building. 4 months later it's peeling up in sheets near the bay doors, and the warranty says it doesn't cover forklift traffic bands even though they knew we ran heavy loads. The guy keeps dodging my calls and I figure I'm out half that just to grind it back down. Has anyone else had good luck with a specific coating system for busy docks, or is this always a sucker game?
Honestly the coating rarely fails on its own, it's almost always the prep that got skipped because grinding a warehouse floor right costs more than the epoxy itself. That fine print about forklift bands is in basically every warranty from every company, so expecting them to cover wear from loaded traffic was never really in the cards. Your money is better spent on a concrete guy who will shot blast it first and spec a urethane topcoat, not on chasing this one.
