Serious question, did my drywall sub's 10 person crew really cut my schedule from 9 weeks to 5?
I run a small commercial fit-out company in Boise and last spring we did two 12,000 sq ft office builds side by side. The first one used my old drywall crew of 3 guys and took 9 weeks just on hang and finish, and the second one used a 10 person crew my GC buddy pushed me to hire and wrapped in 5 weeks. Same drawings, same supplier for board and mud, but the big crew hung two floors at once and had a taper on the board the same day it went up. Is that real speed or did I just get lucky with the second job? What size drywall crew do you all run on a 12k sq ft build?
