Rant: My old method for tracking material on site was a total joke
I used to keep all my lumber and drywall counts in a spiral notebook, but last Thursday I had 47 sheets of drywall show up that I forgot I ordered and the supplier refused the return. Switched over to a shared Google Sheet with my foreman and it cut our reorder mistakes by like 80% in two weeks. How the hell did I think scribbling in a pocket book was gonna work for a 12-unit apartment build?

47 sheets sitting in the rain, I feel that pain man. @sage_dixon called it a game changer and they are absolutely right, the shared sheet sounds way better than any notebook. It just makes too much sense to have everyone looking at the same numbers in real time.
