Went from back issues to trade paperbacks in 2018, still not sure I'm better off

I used to drive 45 minutes to Cosmic Comics in Buffalo every Wednesday for single issues, but after they closed in 2018 I switched to waiting for trades from the library, and does anyone else feel like you lose the weekly ritual but gain the ability to actually read a full arc without a month gap?

Took me three years of library holds to admit it, but yeah, you trade the Wednesday ritual for actually finishing a storyline without forgetting what happened in issue #2. That month gap killed more momentum for me than I ever realized.
