Vent: A guy at the comic shop last week tried to convince me the 90s 'Clone Saga' was a good story.
He was dead serious and said, 'It's a deep look at identity, you just don't get it.' I had to walk away before I laughed. Has anyone else met someone who defends a famously bad comic arc?

Ugh, people will defend anything these days.

Honestly that story was a mess. Peter and MJ make a deal with the devil to save Aunt May, but it erases their marriage. It just wiped years of character growth for a cheap reset. Fans get mad because it felt like the writers didn't respect the characters. Defending that plot is like saying a car crash is a good way to get a new paint job.

Remember a guy at a con trying to sell me on the 'One More Day' story. He said it was a brave choice that reset Peter's status quo. I just stared at my drink. Some folks get so attached to an idea they'll defend the execution, no matter how bad it is. It's like they forget about the demonic marriage deal entirely.
