The normies have completely taken over comic conventions since 2015
I started going to cons back in 2006 and it used to be mostly hardcore fans and dealers talking about runs and artists, now it feels like 60% of the floor is just people in cosplay for Instagram photos. Has anyone else seen the vibe shift that hard or am I just getting old?

Dude, who cares if some people are there for Instagram pics, lol. The door fees still get paid and it keeps the cons running so dealers can sell their back issues. Sounds like you're just mad that more people are having fun at something you used to gatekeep.

Admit it, I'm probably just jealous because the only Instagram-worthy thing I've ever photographed at a con was a blurry picture of a guy in a cosplay that looked suspiciously like a melted crayon. I'll take that L because you're right - the door fees do keep the lights on for guys like me who still dig through dollar bins for old X-Men issues. Honestly, seeing someone in a full Stormtrooper armor pose for a pic is way less annoying than me complaining about it while eating a $12 hot dog. So yeah, keep the 'grammers coming, just save me a spot in line for the exclusive John Byrne signing.
