That $60 omnibus that fell apart before I finished reading it
Bought a DC omnibus for $60 last month and the spine split on page 100. Glue job was terrible right out of the factory. Has anyone else had bad luck with recent oversized hardcovers?

My $50 DC omnibus had the same glue failure on page 80.

Fell apart before I finished reading it" - that's brutal. The glue quality on these has been awful lately.

yeah same thing happened to my Batman omni. got it on sale for $50 and the whole block just slid out of the case around page 150. what worked for me was actually using book glue from a craft store, like a tiny thin bead along the spine and then clamping it tight for a day. it's not perfect but it holds way better than whatever factory glue they use. and sandra_anderson2 is right, the quality control has just tanked lately. I've had three omnis from the last batch that all had weak glue spots you could see before even opening them.
