Shoutout to the guy at the Denver con who called my 'definitive' X-Men reading order a total mess

He said I was focusing on the wrong Claremont arcs and missing the real character development, so I finally re-read the whole Dark Phoenix Saga from Uncanny X-Men #129-137 and it completely changed how I build a collection.

Yeah, it's like your brain needs the right context to unlock a story. That guy's blunt advice was basically a key.

Ugh, that guy was harsh but maybe he had a point. It's wild how one re-read can flip your whole view on a collection.

My friend Sarah hated this one poetry book for years, called it pretentious and empty. She found her old copy while moving and gave it another shot last month. Said reading it after her own bad breakup made every line hit different, like the poems were written just for her. Now it's her favorite book and she's mad at her past self for not getting it. Funny how life experience can rewire your brain like that.
