Saw something odd at the comic shop in Portland last weekend

I was at Powell's Books checking out their graphic novel section and noticed a group of fans arguing about the best Batman artist. One guy said Neal Adams, another said Jim Lee, and a third just kept saying 'Frank Miller's Year One is the only one that counts.' It got pretty heated over what seemed like a simple question. Do comic fans always get this worked up over personal favorites?

Try arguing about the best pizza topping, it's basically the same thing.

Pineapple on pizza debates are way more heated than console wars, gavinw45. At least with games you can just buy both systems. Pizza toppings are a public commitment you have to defend forever.
