Rant: Tried the 'pull list approach' at my local shop and got burned bad
Honestly I thought putting in a pull list for 12 comics a month would make life easier. But after 3 months at Cosmic Comics in Austin, I showed up last Saturday and they had only held 4 of my books. The other 8 were sold to walk-ins because 'the system glitched.' Learned my lesson though - now I pay in advance for the whole month upfront. Has anyone else had a shop just randomly drop your pulls like that?

Paying up front fixed the same problem for me at my shop. I switched to a prepaid monthly plan after they sold my copy of Saga twice in one month. Now I just ask the owner to pull anything new I might like and set aside a budget for it.

Ran into the same issue myself a few years back. I was coming in every Wednesday to grab my pulls only to find someone else had walked off with half my stack. It got so bad I finally asked my shop owner if I could just prepay for three months at a time with a simple list. Now he keeps a binder with my name on it and everything gets bagged and boarded the day it comes in. I still tip him a few bucks when I pick up, just to keep things friendly.
