My buddy swore by the 1994 'Punisher' arc where he fights a polar bear

I thought it was the dumbest thing I'd ever heard, like a bad joke from a comic shop in Akron. Then he showed me the actual issue, Punisher #78, and it's completely played straight with Frank just unloading clips into this confused bear in the snow. Has anyone else had a friend convince them a totally wild story was actually real in the comics?

Oh man, that's classic comics. My friend got me with the one where Superman turns into a giant ant.

Remember getting tricked by that exact same issue. Spent way too long trying to figure out the plot before noticing the tiny "April Fools" in the corner. Felt so dumb but it was a good laugh.

That polar bear story is a classic trap. Got me with a fake Silver Surfer and Galactus team up once, felt so played.
