Local shop owner said my pull list was 'too ambitious' and I'm still salty about it
I moved to a new town in Ohio about 6 months ago and put in a pull list at this small comic shop for like 8 titles a month. The owner looked at it and laughed, said nobody reads that many series and I should drop half of them. Has anyone else had a shop try to talk you out of buying comics before?

Did the guy think he was doing you a favor or something? I had a buddy back in Cleveland who went into a shop with a list of like 12 books and the owner literally told him to come back when he knew what he wanted. My friend stood there and said okay, then just walked out and never went back. Found another shop down the street that was happy to take his money and even ordered extra covers for him. Point is, some of these shop owners act like they're curating your personal taste or something, but you're the one paying for the comics. If you want 8 titles, that's still less than what some people buy in a single Wednesday drop. I'd just take your business somewhere else honestly, there's gotta be another shop in Ohio that won't laugh at you for reading what you like.

Exactly. I had the same thing happen at a shop near me. Walked in with a pull list of 7 titles and the guy acted like I was wasting his time. Told me I should just pick up whatever looked cool that week. I nodded, left, and found a place 20 minutes away that actually updates my box every Wednesday without me asking. That old shop closed down about a year later. Guess treating customers like that doesn't pay the rent. You're right, just move on. There's always another shop that wants your money.
